Health

All animals boarding with us must be in good health. If your pet has any medical conditions please let us know at the time of booking and also if any medication is being given. If on arrival we feel your pet is showing signs of illness or injury we may refuse to accept him/her.

Rabbits must be vaccinated against Myxomatosis and Viral Haemorrhagic Disease (VHD). These vaccinations are given a minimum of two weeks apart. The vaccinations need to be completed at least two weeks prior to arrival. Please note that up to date vaccination certificates must be shown on arrival- if these are not provided, we will refuse to accept your bunny.

The health and welfare of all pets is paramount to us. Each animal will be given a daily health check. We cannot however, guarantee against infection from common conditions.

We reserve the right to seek advice from a vet if your pet becomes ill or if we have any reservations about his / her health. We will make every effort to inform you or your emergency contact if veterinary attention has to be sought.  

Should you choose not to take out our additional insurance & your pet does fall ill, you will be liable to pay all vet bills upon collection of your pet. We will make every effort to inform you or your emergency contact before a vet bill is incurred, however in an emergency situation this may not be possible- we do not under any circumstances allow pets to go through pain & distress for any length of time.

Unfortunately, it is a sad fact that small animals can pass away quite quickly after showing the first visible signs of illness. In the unlikely event that your pet passes away whilst in our care, we will contact you or your emergency contact straight away and follow your wishes.

We accept no liability in the unlikely event that your pet becomes ill or passes away whilst in our care. All pets are left entirely at the owner's risk.

 

Booking & Payment

Boarding prices are calculated on a per day basis, which includes delivery & collection days.

Bank Holidays do not incur an additional charge except for Christmas Day, Boxing Day & New Years Day which incur an additional £2 per day.

At the time of booking, we require a deposit of 25% of the total charge of your pet’s stay- this deposit is non refundable.

At the time of booking, a booking form will be sent to you to complete & return with your deposit. Your pet’s stay will be reserved for a period of 14 days to allow you to return the necessary documents. Upon receipt of these documents, your booking will be confirmed in writing or email. If the booking form & deposit is not returned by the end of the 14 day reservation period, we reserve the right to give your booking to another customer.

The outstanding balance for your pet’s stay will be payable on the day of arrival if you are paying by cash, or a minimum of 10 days prior to arrival if payment is made by cheque. Unfortunately, we do not have the facilities to accept payments by debit or credit card.

 

Collection Delays

We are aware that delays out of your control do occasionally happen, therefore we request that you advise us as soon as possible of your delay & your expected new collection date. If you are using flights, we ask for your flight numbers so that we can keep track of any delays & be aware of when you are likely to return. Additional boarding fees will be applied for your pet’s extended stay which will be payable upon collection of your pet.

 

Abandoned Pets

If your pet is not collected on the due day & we are unable to contact you, we will, after 10 days seek to have your pet re-homed and recoup the extra costs from you.

 

Additional Information

Should your pet run out of dry food because you have not provided enough or because you are delayed in collecting your pet, we reserve the right to visit our local pet store to purchase food for your pet. Receipts for the purchase of your pet’s food will be kept & a £2 mileage charge to the pet shop will be charged. Payment will be required upon collection of your pet.

Please note that we operate a booking system which ensures that you can be given the time you & your pet require for delivery and collection. We ask that you keep to the delivery and collection times that have been arranged- should you be more than 30 minutes late, we request that you notify us without delay.
